A man is set to appear in court this morning charged with the murder of a woman over 20 years.

The 41-year-old man is due to appear before Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am this morning, Gardai said.

He was arrested this morning by officers investigating the murder of Margot Seery at her home in Kenilworth Square, Dublin 6. Seery was 49 at the time of her death on October 8 in 1994, Gardai said.

Following the woman's death, gardai found no grounds for treating it as suspicious.

A subsequent post-mortem found that Ms Seery died following asphyxiation as a result of choking.
As revealed by the Irish Independent last year, forensic experts also discovered that the woman's body parts were missing during a post-mortem examination in Limerick.
The body of Ms Seery was exhumed from Rathkeale Cemetery on September 16 and taken to University Hospital Limerick where the post-mortem examination was performed by Dr. Michael Curtis.
Following the examination the remains were re-interred at Rathkeale cemetery.
The 42-year-old man was arrested by Gardai in the Kimmage area of Dublin earlier today.
