Gardai have arrested a man and a woman after an armed robbery in County Meath last night.

Officers investigating the armed robbery at a supermarket in Enfield last night made the arrests approximately two hours after the incident. 
 
A man wearing gloves, a balaclava with a grey hoodie and armed with appeared to be a handgun, entered the store and forced a staff member to open up the tills where he proceeded to take the cash. 
 
No staff member or customers were injured, a Gardai spokespersons said. 
 
Approximately two hours later Gardaí spotted a silver Ford Focus on the N2 Finglas Road in north Dublin.
 
They pulled the vehicle over and arrested a man and a woman in connection with the robbery. A quantity of cash was also recovered, the spokesperson added. 
 
They are detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Trim and Kells Garda Stations.
