Man allegedly beaten to death following bonfire altercation

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a fatal assault which occurred in the early hours of this morning in Clondalkin Dublin 22.

It is believed that the deceased man was at a bombfire at St. Marks when he was chased by a number of people across the Neilstown Road, into Liscarne Gardens where he was fatally injured.

There have been no arrests.

The State Pathologist's Office has been contacted. His body remains at the scene.

Gardaí at Ronanstown are appealing for anyone who was in the general area of St. Marks/Neilstowns Road/Liscarne Gardens between 1a.m. and 3.30a.m. to contact them at Ronanstown Garda Station on 01 - 6667700, the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
