Major Kinahan mob member spotted enjoying the Euros in France
A senior member of the Kinahan mob has been spotted drinking with Irish fans at the Euro 2016 tournament in France.
The gangster, who is a close associate of Regency hotel murder victim David Byrne, was out and about in central Bordeaux over the weekend.
Thousands of Irish supporters were partying in the area at the time, unaware of his presence.
The individual, who is in his 30s and is linked to six recent gangland hits, is a massive soccer fan.
One eye-witness said: "He was standing there in the centre of Bordeaux, drinking away without a care in the world.
"It was terrifying to think that someone so dangerous could be there in the middle of all these Irish fans having a good time."
It is not clear if he travelled to the stadium for the game.
Gardaí have not received information about his presence in France but sources say they would not be surprised if he decided to travel.
The Crumlin criminal is currently under threat from the rival Hutch gang as part of a feud which has already claimed the lives of seven people since September 2014.
