Liam Keane bailed after being charged over high speed chase
31-year-old Liam Keane from Singland Gardens, Ballysimon, Limerick was arrested in limerick city at 11:05pm on Saturday the 23rd of April.
Keane faces nine charges under the provisions of the Road Traffic Act and he is also accused of recklessly endangering the lives of other motorists on the N18.
A court today heard that the accused was observed driving a 06C-registered car at John Carew Park by members of the armed Regional Support Unit (RSU) at around 6.15pm on Saturday.
A garda witness said it will be alleged he failed to stop and that during a subsequent pursuit he drove at speed against oncoming traffic on the wrong carriageway of the N18.
It was alleged that the 31-year-old "put a lot of motorists at risk" and clipped one vehicle.
