Gardai have seized a large number of cannabis plants from a house in Limerick.

The house, at Mountpleasant, Kildimo, Co Limerick was searched by Gardai from Newcastle West and the Divisional Drug Unit from Henry St yesterday,October 1.

During the course of the search Gardai discovered a cannabis plant cultivation operation at the house.

A total of €140,000 worth of cannabis plants (pending analysis) at various stages of maturity were discovered.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination, there were no arrest.

Investigations are continuing.
