A Kinahan cartel hitman's pitbulls attacked gardai during a recent raid, and the dogs were pepper sprayed and then put down after they began to attack each other.

According to today's Sun, officers from the Emergency Response Unit were searching the gangster's house in Dublin earlier this week when the dogs launched their attack.

Officers used pepper spray to protect themselves and a dog warden was called to seize the animals, who were later put down after they began to attack each other.

The gangster was not in the premises at the time, according to the paper, as he moves around in a bid to stay safe from a potential gangland attack.
