Gardai are investigating if a hitman who works for the Kinahan mob was involved in a reckless gun attack in Dublin over the weekend.

The man being investigated by gardai was previously arrested in relation to other gun attacks in the ongoing gangland feud.

A number of bullets struck the home on Cuala Road in Cabra on Sunday.

Two men were in the house at the time but nobody was hurt in the attack.

A garda spokesman confirmed officers in Mountjoy station are investigating the incident.

Neighbours spoke of their concerns following the shooting.

Lubos Kocik (36) lives on the road with his wife and three sons.

The chef told Independent.ie that his nine-year-old son woke after hearing the gunshots nearby.

"I sleep at the back of the house so I didn't hear anything. My son was at the front of our house and he heard it.

"He was not scared but I am scared. If these people had shot at another house instead then we could have been hurt.

"My son could have been killed.

"I am often playing Playstation in my house at 5am in the morning. If they had shot at my window then I would have been gone."

No arrests have been made.
