Gardai have received intelligence that under-threat Kinahan cartel thug ‘Fat’ Freddie Thompson is back in Ireland.

The tubby thug had spent time between England and Spain before returning home.

Thompson’s mob have place Ross Hutch, the son of murdered taxi driver Eddie Hutch, firmly in their crosshairs.

Ross has refused to move from the city centre despite being officially warned by gardai that his life is under threat.

‘Fat’ Freddie has been staying in hotels since his return, fearing that he would be targeted by the Hutch gang at his family home in Dublin 8.

Thompson has scores of hired goons and junkies working for him in the inner city.

A source told the Irish Sun: “Freddie isn’t the brightest and he has had to employ people to count his cash for him.

“Gardai know his gang is employing people to do their dirty work.

“They are all preoccupied with the feud but they remain heavily involved in drugs importation.

“They’ve a lot of young criminals on their books that are desperate to make a name for themselves.”
