Irish teen breaks into 17 cars in rampage

A teenager broke into 17 cars during a rampage overnight.

Gardai in County Meath are understood to be following a definite line of enquiry after the vehicles were damaged overnight in Trim.

A garda spokesperson said the person, believed to be a youth in his late teens, "went on a complete rampage last night, breaking into approximately 17 cars between 10pm and 7am this morning."

Not all cars had items stolen from them but all had windows smashed. They were in at least eight different estates in the town.
