'Irish national' arrested in Spain in connection with gangland feud murder of Gary Hutch
Spanish police carrying out a major operation against the Kinahan Cartel have arrested a man in relation to the feud murder of Gary Hutch.
Hutch was shot dead near his flat in Miraflores, Fuengirola, Spain in September 2015.
His murder sparked a year of bloodshed between the rival Hutch and Kinahan factions.
Officers from the Guardia Civil detained a man, understood to be an Irish national, in Malaga this afternoon.
A spokesperson for the Gurdia Civil confirmed that an operation is currently ongoing but could not comment further.
It is understood that the arrested man, who is originally from Dublin, has close ties to cartel members on the Costa del Sol.
