Investigation launched following discovery of two bodies in house
Gardaí have begun an investigation after two bodies were discovered in a house in Co Kildare.
The remains of the man and the woman, both believed to be in their 70s, were discovered at approximately 11.30am on Monday.
The discovery was made in the Ashfield Park estate in Naas.
Gardaí and the State pathologist attended the scene and the bodies were removed to Naas Hospital where a full post-mortem will take place.
A garda spokesperson said the results of this examination will determine the course of the investigation.
A source said that there is nothing to suggest that the deaths were suspicious at this point.
