A woman told by murder Graham Dwyer that he wanted to have sex with her and then slit her throat says she forgives him.

Darci Day from Maine in the US met Dwyer (42) on a fetish website in 2010.

They communicated for two years but never met in person.

Ms Day testified against Dwyer via video link during his 10-week trial for the murder of Elaine O'Hara (36) at Dublin's Central Criminal Court earlier this year.

The US woman told the Irish Daily Star that she hopes the twisted killer will find god.

“I forgave him for preying on me,” she said.

“Forgiveness is a way of healing and moving on, not letting your anger towards someone define you or bring you down.

“But I’m having a hard time forgiving him for what he did to Elaine.

“I am working on trying to forgive myself as well; this has been something that I have struggled with. “

Darci’s evidence was originally set to be excluded from the trial until the judge heard how Dwyer had send the devout Christian a chilling Christmas card from his cell in Midlands prison last year.

“He has not contacted me since then and I’m praying very hard for him and all the families involved,” she said.

Dwyer was caged for life earlier this year for the murder of Elaine O’Hara whose remains were found in a forest on Killakee Mountain on the 13th of September.
