Gunned down drug dealer makes miraculous recovery in hospital

A drug dealer who was blasted five times through his back door window by a handgun wielding thug has made a miraculous recovery in hospital.

30-year-old Jason Kearns was shot as he watched the prelims for the McGregor – Diaz fight in the early hours of Sunday morning, at his home on the Stannaway road in Crumlin.

Kearns is now understood to be ain a stable condition after doctors removed bullets from his back and arm overnight.

Kearns received a suspended five-year jail term in May after admitting possessing 61 grams of cocaine worth €4,300 and 1.515kg of cannabis worth €30,300.

Gardai investigating the shooting are appealing for anyone who was in the Sundrive- Stannaway Road area between 2am-3am on Sunday to contact Sundrive Garda Station on 01 -6666600, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666-111 or any Garda Station.
