Gardai yesterday seized a firearm, ammunition and jewellery which is believed to have been stolen in a planned raid in the capital.

The raid was part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs within the Dublin North Inner City area. 
 
Gardai from the North Central Divisional Drug Unit based at Store Street seized a firearm, firearm components, ammunition and suspected stolen jewellery, a Garda spokesperson said. 
 
The seizure was made following the planned search of a premises in Lucan, County Dublin yesterday evening at approximately 5.30pm.
 
A man aged 35 was arrested at scene and is currently detained at Store Street Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended.
