A woman who featured in a number of graphic sex videos recorded by Graham Dwyer, who gardai feared at one point had been murdered by the convicted killer, has been located.

The news comes one year to the day that Dwyer was convicted of the murder of Elaine O'Hara.

The woman, based in England, was the subjct of a large search by gardai after she featured in a number of horrific sex films recorded by Dwyer.

Gardai passed on a description of the woman to police forces across the UK and asked them to use it to look into all unsolved murders and missing women cases over a five-year period.

Gardai were desperate to speak to her and it was feared by some in the force that she may have been killed by Dwyer.

Investigators also believed the woman was the subject of a disturbing fantasy story written by Dwyer called 'Jenny's First Rape' where the perverted killer described raping and torturing a woman before producing a hunting knife.

Detectives were unable to track her down before Dwyer's trial began but she made contact afterwards when she became aware of the trial through media coverage.

She confirmed she had been in a voluntary sado-masochistic relationship with the architect but she was shocked that he was involved in the murder case.
