Gardai issue reconstruction image of unidentified man found dead in woodland

Gardai have issued a reconstruction image of a man whose body was found in September 2014 in a bid to uncover his identity.

The man’s body was found in Rusheen Woods, near Barna in Galway on the evening of the 27th of September 2014.

The male is described as being between 30 and 40 years of age, approximately 6 foot tall with black hair.

He is of broad/strong build and was wearing a gold bracelet watch (Caravelle by Bulova).

He was also wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and white and blue ‘Athletech’ runners.

He had a black belt with metal flower design studs across its length with a silver colour buckle.

The investigating Gardaí have been unable to identify this male to date. 

To date despite an extensive Garda Investigation this male remains unidentified.

A facial reconstruction image has been created by Dundee University to assist the investigation.
