Gardai are searching for two men who escaped with a sum of cash after robbing a business in Kildare with a screwdriver

The incident took place on Monday, at 7.50pm, at a premises on Edward Street in Newbridge.

According to gardai, two men entered and threatened staff with what is believed to be a screwdriver.

The men escaped with a sum of cash and no one was hurt during the incident.

Gardai have released a description of what the two men were wearing during the robbery.

One raider was wearing a white jacket with the hood up while the other wearing was a grey hoodie with the hood up.

Thus far no arrests have been made and gardai say investigations are ongoing.
