Gardai close Luas stop after two men hospitalised following assault
Gardai closed the Tallaght Luas stop following the assault of two men earlier this evening.
Two men were seriously assaulted after being set upon by a gang of youths at the Tallaght Luas stop at around 6.50pm.
The two males, believed to be in their 30s, were attacked at the stop at The Square. One of the men was apparently knocked unconscious during the assault.
Emergency services were called and the men were brought to hospital.
The scene has been closed off by Gardai, and the Luas stop in Tallaght was also temporarily closed. It has since reopened.

Nobody has yet been arrested but Gardai are investigating and will be analysing CCTV footage at the stop.
The condition of the victims is unknown.

Elsewhere, a video emerged of a gang of youths fighting on Dame Street in Dublin city.
The Independent obtained footage of the brawl, which occurred in broad daylight in plain sight of shocked families.
