Gardai arrested three men in connection with armed robbery

Gardai have arrested three men aged 38, 39 and 45-years, in connection with an armed robbery.

A convenience store located at a shopping complex in Edenmore, Coolock, Dublin, was robbed by three masked men who were believed to be armed with a gun and a baseball bat, yesterday evening at 6:30pm.

The thugs demanded money from staff and fled on foot with a small amount of cash and cigarettes.

Gardaí arrested two men a short time later, close to the scene.

A third man was later arrested. All three men are detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 as amended at Coolock and Swords Garda Stations.

A firearm and a baseball bat were recovered by Gardaí and have been seized for technical examination.
