Gardai arrest two in connection with murder of Noel Kirwan

Gardai investigating the gun murder of Noel Kirwan last year have arrested two people this morning.

Kirwan was shot dead in the driveway of a house at St. Ronan’s Drive, Clondalkin Dublin 22 on December 22 last year.

A male and a female, both in their 20s, were arrested this morning in North County Dublin and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at Lucan and Blanchardstown Garda Stations.

Kirwan was a childhood friend of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch and grew up with the family in the north inner city flat complexes.

He was considered one of The Monk's best friends and was seen in his company at the the funeral of The Monk's brother Eddie Hutch Sr earlier that year.
