Gardai, along with members of the Army bomb squad, were called to an area in north Dublin on Tuesday night.

Ferrycarrig Road in Coolock was sealed off after reports were received about a suspicious device.

A garda spokesman confirmed to Independent.ie this morning that the incident has been declared a hoax.
