Gardai appealing for witnesses following tragic drowning in Dublin

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a drowning incident at the Grand Canal, Portobello, Dublin 8, in the early hours of Saturday 18th of June.

The deceased is described as being in his early 30s, 5’8” in height with black hair and was wearing a black and blue shirt.

He got into difficulties in the water at around 4:25am.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Portobello area between 4am and 4:45am on 18th June, to contact them at Terenure Garda Station on 01 666 4000, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station
