Gardai appeal for witnesses following hit and run

Gardai are appealing for information following a hit and run which occurred at Mount Olive Park, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5 on the morning of Monday 26th September shortly before 11am.

A male pedestrian, aged in his mid-20s, was struck by a small grey coloured car.

This car and its driver failed to remain at the scene.

The pedestrian received medical assistance from ambulance staff at the scene and was taken to Beaumont Hospital with minor injuries.

It is believed that a member of the public, possibly driving behind the offending vehicle at the time of the collision, may have stopped and given assistance to the injured man.

Investigating Gardaí are again appealing for witnesses and anyone one with information, particularly the man who may have stopped at the scene or attended to the injured man, are asked to contact them at Raheny Garda Station on 01 666 4300, The Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
