Gardai appeal for witnesses following collision between pedestrian and cyclist
Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision between a cyclist and a pedestrian, which occurred in the Phoenix Park yesterday evening at 8:40pm.
The cyclist, a male in his 50s was seriously injured when he collided with a pedestrian as he cycled on the cycle lane on the upper part of Chesterfield Avenue, which is the city bound side between Aras an Uachtarain and the Castleknock gate.
The man was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is described as being in a critical condition.
The pedestrian, a male in his 30s, was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital with leg and back injuries.
