Gardai appeal for information about Tallaght shooting

Gardai investigating the shooting of 24-year-old Sean Hulgrain are appealing for information.

According to garda sources Hulgrain and another man were in an 06-D registered blue Mazda 3 when they were shot at from a passing silver Volkswagen Passat.

Hulgrain, who was driving the car, sustained gunshot injuries but managed to drive to Tallaght Hospital.

His injuries are described as serious but not life threatening.

The passenger of the Mazda was unharmed.

The Volkswagen Passat was discovered a short time later partially burned out at Benmadigan Road, Drimnagh.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone in the Parkhill West area of Tallaght between 8.15pm and 8.45pm to contact Tallaght Garda Station.
