Garda appealing for witnesses following armed robbery

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a robbery which occurred at a shop/Post Office in Clogherhead, Co Louth on Tuesday the 3rd of May at 3:40pm.

Three men entered the shop wearing visibility jackets, in possession of a firearm, sledge hammer and a metal bar.

They threatened staff and left the scene with a large amount of cash in a blue coloured Audi A3 car, partial registration number 00-RN

The blue Audi A3 was located, on fire, in a field at Coast Road, Callystown, Clogherhead a short time later.
