Four men who fled from gardai arrested

Four men who failed to stop for gardai at Drumberry, Bunclody, County Wexford are due in court this morning.

The van was abandoned a short distance away and the occupants fled on foot, but were arrested a short distance away.

A number of items such as gloves and a hammer were found concealed in the vehicle.

Four men aged in their early 20s and 30s and a juvenile were detained Enniscorthy Garda station under Section 4 of Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Four men are due to appear at a special sitting of Gorey District Court this morning, Friday 8th January 2016 at 11am.

The juvenile has been released without charge and file to be forwarded to Juvenile Liaison Office.

The arrests were made as part of the gardai's anti burglary campaign, Operation Thor.
