Five caged Pomeranian puppies were seized by gardai at Dublin Port this morning from a van bound for England.

Gardai stopped a van bound for England at Dublin Port this morning. 

During a search of the van, gardai discovered five Pomeranian puppies in a cage. 

The puppies were seized and handed over to the DSPCA as there was no valid documentation produced.

The puppies will be quarantined and then placed for adoption.

The van was seized for no insurance.

This is the third incident in recent weeks of seizures of puppies by gardai as part of Operation C-Port at Dublin Port.
