Ecstasy, cocaine and cash seized in Dublin city centre house raid

Gardai seized a huge quantity of ecstasy tablets, as well as cocaine and cash, in a raid on a Dublin 2 apartment yesterday.

Two men in their 20s were stopped and detained on Aston Quay, Dublin 2 yesterday by gardai from Store Street garda station.

Both men were found to be in possession of ecstasy tablets.

The duo were arrested for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A follow-up search was conducted at an apartment on D'Olier Street, Dublin 2.

During the course of this search, ecstasy tablets with a street value (subject to analysis) of €418,000 and cocaine, with a street value (subject to analysis) of €24,000 were seized.

A quantity of cash was also seized.

Both men are detained at Store Street garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
