The man shot at a service station on Dublin's northside this afternoon was hit in the head, neck and chest and is fighting for his life at the Mater Hospital.

The victim, believed to be a high-ranking member of the Hutch faction, was shot multiple times at a service station on the Clonshaugh Road in Dublin at approximately 13.35 this afternoon.

The attack is believed to be linked to the ongoing Hutch-Kinahan feud.

Emergency services and Gardai are currently at the scene.

Gardai have appealed for information regarding a black car spotted leaving the scene.
