North Dublin SPCA investigates box of dead pugs dumped near Dublin shopping centre

The North Dublin SPCA are investigating the discovery of two dead pugs dumped near a north Dublin shopping centre on Thursday.

Both dogs were found abandoned in a box by a delivery driver outside the Doolin House complex near Clarehall Shopping Centre.

One of the dogs had a collar with his name inscribed on a gold dog bone.

Vincent Kelly was delivering parcels to a house in the area when he stumbled upon the dead dogs.

"Who would do this. Two beautiful pugs just dumped in a box. Shame on the ba****ds who did this... I'm absolutely sick," he wrote on social media.

A spokesperson for the DSPCA said neither dog had a microchip, but said they may have been forcibly destroyed.

They are asking for anyone with information to contact them on (01) 837 5630.
