Drunk man smashes glass doors in Kildare hospital as children watch on in horror

A drunken man, who was told to wait to be seen in a hospital waiting room, later returned with two hammers and went on a rampage smashing doors.

The incident occurred at Naas General Hospital, where a number of children were present at the time.

A witness explained how the children watched in horror as the man smashed glass in the hospital at around 10pm on Saturday, August 13.

"There were children present and were cowering under chairs in fear," the witness said.

Gardai confirmed that criminal damage was done to the hospital at around 10:15pm, in which a glass door was broken.

Nobody has been arrested but gardai said they are investigating the matter.
