Coolock based Traveller gang nicking builders tools throughout Dublin
Coolock based Traveller gang swiped more that €30,000 of power tools in 48 hours of “mayhem”.
According to reports in the Irish Daily Mail the raids were carried out last Monday and Tuesday night by the gan, which has direct connection to some of Ireland’s most violent aggravated burglaries.
The thieves hit hotels in north Dubln where builders and tradesmen stay during long term jobs, as well as building sites in the capital and hotel car parks in Portlaoise, Co Laois.
Reports indicate that gardai are now planning to raid the home sof the chief suspects having already “garnered intelligence” on them.
A source said that the raids were “well planned and orchestrated” and that “they waited until after midnight, then they drove around to hotel car parks that they could get entry to where they could see builders vans.
The raids were carried out by two gangs operating as one, according to the source.
