Armed gardai babysitting Hutch family members
Armed gardai minded Jonathan Hutch, the brother of under threat gang boss Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch, while the 63-year-old attended Dublin’s Mater Hospital.
Two armed detectives were posted at the hospital while The Monk’s older brother sought treatment for a broken arm.
Jonathan was then brought by armed guard back to his heavily fortified north Dublin home. .
The gangland target survived an attack at his residence in September and the house now remains under 24-hour garda surveillance.
Jonathan, who has no involvement in crime is one of 60 people who have been targeted by the Kinahan gang due to their links to The Monk.
“Gardai have been posted outside schools, surgeries and even during church services because the threat against people connected to the Hutch family remains severe,” a source told The Sun.
“The Kinahan gang has already murdered two innocent people in the feud and they don’t care who gets in their way.”
“Things have been quiet recently but there’s no doubt the targeting of rival factions is ongoing. The feud shows no signs of ending anytime soon.
“Some of the hitmen employed by the Kinahan gang would have no problem in going into a hospital to shoot someone.”
The deadly feud has claimed ten lives so far.
