Almost €700k worth of cannabis seized in Dublin after vehicle intercepted by joint force

Gardai, along with Revenue officers, seized €680,000 worth of cannabis after intercepting a vehicle in Dublin today.

A joint task force made up of Revenue officers, the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau (DOCB) and the Special Crime Task Force conducted an intelligence-led operation in the capital this morning.

Approximately 34kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €680,000 was seized when a vehicle was intercepted in the Clondalkin area of Dublin.

A 47-year-old Albanian man was arrested during the operation.

The man remains in custody at Clondalkin garda station, where he is detained under the provisions of Drug Trafficking legislation.
