Almost €200k seized by gardai in organised crime operation
The Irish authorities seized €179,000 in cash during an operation targeting organised crime in Co Meath last Wednesday.
As part of an investigation into serious organised crime in the Dublin region and satellite counties, gardai conducted an intelligence-led operation in Meath on Wednesday, September 7.
During the operation, gardai seized cash to the amount of €179,000.
No arrests have been made in relation to this seizure.
The garda investigation is continuing and the seized cash is undergoing forensic testing.
The operation involved gardai from the garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, including the Special Crime Task Force.
