MANHUNT: Alleged rapist wanted by three police forces on the run in Ireland
A manhunt is under way for an alleged rapist wanted by three separate police forces who is believed to be on the run in Ireland.
Gardai are desperate to track down English teenager Ryan Humpage, who is also wanted by police in England and the PSNI in the North.
The English national, who was charged last November in relation to the rape of a 13-year-old girl, is wanted by Lancashire Police after breaching his bail conditions.
The 18-year-old, who is described as extremely dangerous, is believed to have been in Ireland for the past several weeks, and his last known location was in Newbridge, Co Kildare.
A source told how locals in the area were shocked at the news, and how they believe he was spotted on several occasions.
However, his whereabouts over the past week are unknown.
Humpage is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall with short brown hair and of medium build.
Gardai have said he has been using a variety of aliases, including Dylan Dunne, Ryan Willington, Ryan Williams and Karl Ward.
Humpage has been wanted by Lancashire Police since February after a "breach of Crown Court bail conditions", according to a spokesperson for the force.
He was also the focus of a Crimewatch programme aired by the BBC last week.
The attack allegedly took place in December 2013, but Humpage was only charged several months later.
The fugitive has also been charged with breach of a community order and theft in what are believed to be separate incidents.
It has also been revealed that Humpage worked at a local waterpark in the Blackpool area, and he was involved in youth projects in the years before the alleged sexual assault took place.
Gardai have warned members of the public that he should not be approached under any circumstances.
"Gardai wish to establish the current whereabouts of Ryan Humpage and are appealing for anyone who may have any information to immediately contact Naas Garda Station on 045 884300," a spokesperson said.
Lancashire Police previously appealed for the public's help in tracking down Humpage after he went missing last August.
Officers were interested in speaking to him over an alleged assault, but he disappeared before he could be charged.
He was eventually charged with assault, and was subsequently charged with the rape of the young girl.
Humpage is believed to have acquaintances in several areas around the UK including Blackpool, Northamptonshire and Northumbria, as well as in Scotland.
It is not yet established how he made his way from Britain to Ireland.
Police said it has not been ruled out that he arrived by ferry into either the North or the Republic.
The PSNI said they are particularly interested in speaking to Humpage, who has several friends in Belfast.
Sgt Chris Sanderson, of the Fleetwood Police Department in Lancashire, urged anyone who has any information about Humpage's whereabouts to contact local police or detectives in the UK without delay.
