The only woman on the FBI's 10 most wanted list has been captured

Brenda Delgado, 33, was wanted on suspicion of hiring a hitman to kill her ex's new partner.

Dentist Kendra Hatcher was shot dead on September 2 last year in Dallas, Texas and Delgado was placed on the FBI's most wanted list last week.

Within days of becoming the only woman on the list, Delgado was captured in Mexico by local authorities.

“The FBI is extremely appreciative of our law enforcement partners in Mexico, as well as our local, state, and federal partners, for their tremendous cooperation and collaboration in the capture of Top Ten Fugitive Brenda Delgado,” said Thomas M. Class, Sr., Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Dallas Field Office said on the FBI website.

According to the release on her arrest Delgado was the 506th person and the ninth woman to be placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, which was established in March of 1950.
