Woman cleared of killing her daughter “paid lawyer with sex”
A mum who was found not guilty of killing her two-year-old daughter has been accused of paying her lawyer with sex.
Casey Anthony claimed Caylee, two, was kidnapped in 2008, but later told the court she had drowned and was charged with drugging the toddler, suffocating her and dumping the body.
Casey was cleared of the murder, child abuse and manslaughter charge in 2011, but it has since been claimed that she was having sex with her lawyer in return for legal representation.
A private investigator hired by Casey's lawyer, Jose Baez, told RadarOnline that he found out about the alleged deal when a TV show asked the mum for an interview she didn't want to do.
“(Baez) called the network saying they would have to take a raincheck, hung up the phone and said to Casey: ‘You now owe me three b******s'," he told the site.
The investigator alleged that the misconduct “escalated” because Casey was broke and said that in September 2008 he witnessed her running “naked” from Baez’s private chambers.
“That night, I told her that she cannot allow him to continue engaging in this behaviour. Casey told me she had to do what Jose said because she had no money for her defence," he said.
Casey was charged with four counts of providing false information to law enforcement after she lied about her daughter’s whereabouts.
Little Caylee’s body was discovered in December 2008.
