Kidnappers demand €1m for wealthy businessman's young daughter
Kidnappers are demanding €1 million for the safe return of a teenage girl who disappeared while she was out walking her dog.
Anneli-Marie, R. has not been seen since leaving her parents' house in Meissen in Germany since Friday.
The 17-year-old disappeared at approximately 7.30pm, and police later found her dog alive but there was no sign of her.
Sniffer dogs led police to an area but the girl was nowhere to be seen.
They confirmed later that kidnappers had made contact and demanded a ransom of 1 million euros.
The girl's parents addressed their daughter directly in a letter released by police, telling her: "Anneli, we miss you. We are with you."
They added: "The kidnappers should know that we will fulfill the stipulated demands in order to be able to have our child back in our arms soon."
A number of locations in the region have been searched but police have yet to discover any clues to her whereabouts.
They have not released the girl's second name out of concerns for her privacy.
