Warning after 'violent' man absconds from UK mental health unit
A violent fugitive from a secure mental health unit is being hunted by police.
Abdul Nahar, 26, was last seen in Burntwood Lane, Wandsworth, south London, at around 12.16pm on Tuesday.
Scotland Yard warned the public to call 999 if they spot him, and added: "Abdul has mental health issues and is a risk to the public and himself. The public are advised not to approach him.
"Anyone who knows of Abdul's whereabouts is asked to call 999 immediately as he has a history of violence and could pose a threat if confronted."
He is black, 5ft 7in, with short black hair and a beard.
He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, flip-flops and a blue jacket when he was last seen, and has spent time in Westminster in the past.
