UK police search for teen girl missing from hospital
UK police say they are "extremely concerned" about the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl from hospital.
Khia Lawrence went to Manchester Royal Infirmary on Tuesday but left without being treated and is believed to be seriously unwell, with doctors very concerned about her wellbeing.
She is described as black, about 5ft 7in with long black hair worn in a bun. She was wearing dark jeans and a red coat with red and black shoes.
Khia is known to frequent areas of Manchester city centre.
Inspector Paul Kinrade, from Greater Manchester Police, said: "We are extremely concerned about Khia's wellbeing and have a number of people out actively searching for her.
"Hospital staff have told us that she is seriously unwell and needs urgent treatment as soon as possible.
"It is absolutely vital that she gets to hospital as soon as possible, so if you have any information about her whereabouts then please get in touch with police immediately.
"Khia, if you see this then please get in touch and get yourself to a hospital as soon as you can. You are seriously ill and desperately need treatment."
