Police are investigating the sudden death of a young woman in Coagh, Co Tyrone yesterday during a party in a flat in the village.

The woman has been named locally as Amy Reid (21), from Coolnafranky Park in Cookstown.

Another man has been taken to hospital and three men have been arrested, according to reports.

A 32-year-old woman, as well as two men aged 26 and 39, were taken into custody in connection with drugs-related enquiries.

Peter Cassidy, a neighbour of the young woman, said that the community was shocked by the news of Amy's sudden death.

"It's a terrible tragedy," he commented.

"It's another young life lost. She was just a 21-year-old with her whole life ahead of her. The people who live round and about her are really stunned," the neighbour said.

Cookstown SDLP Councillor Tony Quinn extended his condolences to the family, describing it as a "terrible tragedy", and expressed his sadness that a young life had been lost.
