A prolific pooper is on the loose in Ohio.

Police in the state are searching for a man who was caught defecating on a car belonging to a woman in Akron.

Authorities believe he is responsible for defecating in or on 19 vehicles since May of 2012.

On Tuesday, the father of the owner of the vehicle pictured called police after the photograph was taken on a timelapse camera set up by a nearby resident. They'd become fed-up with repeatedly clearing human waste off his vehicle.

Some of the victims have reported being targeted on several occasions, which was the case this week.

Akron police Lt. Rick Edwards said the man has mostly targeted residents of the Castle Homes area of the city during the last six months.

On Tuesday, he hood on the hood of the car, but the officer said in other cases he's smeared excrement on door handles. When the car doors were unlocked, the man pooped in the passenger seat of the car.
Jacob Karam, who's also been targeted a number of times, said he hoped the culprit would be caught.
"He did it on the hood every time," he told News Channel 5.
"And then the one time he took it and he smeared it all over the hood, the windshield, the mirrors, the window, the door handles, and the gas tank covering," he added.
Police have now released the image in a bid to track him down, according to Fox 8.
