Teen pet shop worker killed in snake attack

An 18-year-old pet shop worker was found dead in his car after he was bitten by a venomous cobra snake.

Grant Thompson suffered puncture wounds on his wrist from the monocle cobra's attack.

The snake remains at large in Austin, Texas.

Police also discovered six tarantulas, a non-venomous brown snake and a bullfrog in Thompson's car.

According to a local newspaper he was found in his car by an unnamed man who called 911 and said:

"Can I tell you something? He has bumper stickers that say: I brake for snakes."

"I don't know if he was bitten or anything.
