A teenager has been jailed for two years after police caught him with two Kinder Eggs stuffed with wraps of crack cocaine.

The South Wales Argus reports on the trial of 18-year old Marcus Bailey, who appeared in court in Cardiff last week.

The court heard how Bailey was spotted driving through a red light on his moped last month and officers decided to follow him.

The court then heard how police noticed Bailey take both hands off the handlebars as he attempted to get something from his pockets.

Officers blocked him in at the next set of lights and took him to the police station. A search there revealed the two Kinder Eggs which contained 25 wraps of crack cocaine between them, totalling six grams.

Messages on his mobile phone asking for drugs were also mentioned before the court.

Bailey pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs, dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance and he was sentenced to two years in prison for the drug offences and six months for the driving offences, to run consecutively.
