Suspected gunman on run after shooting in UK
A "potentially armed" man is on the run and another has been arrested after a shooting that left one person dead and a second injured.
Charlie Broadway, 23, poses a risk to the public and should not be approached, following the incident on Thursday night, Avon and Somerset Police said.
Detectives said two men were shot at a home near Ilton, north of Ilminster, Somerset, shortly before 8pm.
One died at the scene and a second received "non life-threatening" injuries.
Chief Superintendent Jon Reilly described the "fast-moving investigation" saying: "We're using every necessary resource to investigate these serious offences and our main priority is to locate and arrest Charlie Broadway.
"We have arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with this inquiry and he has been taken into custody.
"We're continuing to warn the public not to approach Charlie Broadway but to report any sightings to us immediately via 999, quoting log number 1051 of 5 May."
On Thursday, police confirmed that the call had been about a "serious incident involving a firearm which we believe is of a domestic nature".
Mr Reilly said: "Due to the gravity of what happened, Charlie Broadway is potentially armed and as a result poses a risk to the public."
Broadway was missing overnight into Friday morning and police said the situation was "very fluid".
Force incident manager Rob Pearson said: "The bottom line is it is still ongoing. We have not located the man.
"It is a very tricky and dangerous situation.
"There are lots of police officers working now to try and catch him."
He said a team of detectives was working to track down Broadway.
