Remains of TV star Cristie Schoen Codd, her husband Joseph and their unborn child were found inside their handyman’s wood burning stove by police in North Carolina, US.

Robert Jason Owens, who detective say did odd jobs for the Codd’s, has been arrested and charged with their murder.
Reports indicate that there were several texts between Joseph Codd and Owens the day before the couple vanished.
Sheriff Van Duncan released search warrants that showed deputies took 11 knives and a saw blade as well as “debris from wood stove” and “debris from yard” from two of Owens’ North Carolina homes.

Owens was arrested after officers saw him throwing away some of Mr Codd’s belongings the day the couple were reported missing.
It is alleged that Owens told his wife that he killed the couple.
Cristie, who worked as a movie-set caterer, was a contestant and finalist on the eight series of ‘Food Network Star’.
Owens is also a prime suspect in the disappearance of Zebb Quinn whose body was never found after he vanished 15 years ago.
Quinn went missing on the 2nd of January 2000 in Asheville, North Carolina, he was 18 years old and working at a Walmart at the time.
His case remains unsolved
