Pregnant mum slashed man’s head with stiletto after 2-day drinking session
A pregnant mum-of-two who slashed a man’s head with a steel tipped stiletto will give birth to her third child in prison after she was sentenced to 10-months in jail for assault.
30-year-old Amy Sundve slashed her victim head so badly in the unprovoked attack that he was left with a 7cm scar across his forehead.
The victim also suffered a cut artery.
Sundve, from Liverpool, UK, then attacked the man’s girlfriend, scraping her left eye with the shoe.
The Liverpool Echo reports that the single mum did not know she was already several weeks pregnant during the incident, which occurred on the 22nd of May 2015.
The court heard that Sundve had a party the night before while her mum looked after her two young children and continued drinking on her own the next day.
The prosecution said that she was ejected from the Elm Tree pub in Kirkdale, Liverpool, because of her drunken antics.
The male victim followed her outside to ask if she was okay.
“She became hysterical, waving her arms around in the air and screeching,” the court heard.
The man said he was hit once to the side of his forehead and remembered "blood pouring down his face into his eyes”.
The court was told that the victim’s girlfriend followed the man outside and spotted Sundve clutching her high heeled shoes by the toe and using the heel as a weapon.
When she shouted: “what are you doing?” Sundve turned and swung at her.
The man was taken to hospital and received and internal stitch and nine external stitches in his face.
Sundve pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and assault causing actual bodily harm.
Sentencing Judge Norman Wright said: “He will be left with a permanent scar on his forehead as a memento that will be with him for the rest of his life.
“It is the sort of thing people will look at and stare at. They will ask him ‘how did you get that?’ and he will be reminded of it.”
She was jailed for 10 months meaning she will give birth.
Sundve screamed from the dock “oh no please, I can’t leave my kids” and broke down in tears.
The children will be cared for by their grandmother, the court was told.
